In complete shock over what's going on in London.  I love London.  I live in Greater London.  I just can't comprehend it. 

Edit: JFC less than ten miles from me, shopping centre I've been to regularly apparently on fire...

My aunt and uncle live in London, but I think they're in Paris right now. They live in Kensington though.

Arseholes, the lot of them. There's not even an excuse for this latest, they're just doing it for the hell of it. /rant. I really hope none of my family and friends in London get caught in it, that's all...

Exactly, I keep getting angry when people put reasons behind the actions, blaming the government and police, there aren't any excuses.
I hope they are too! It's getting further out I've heard and closer to where I live I'm on the outskirts though so it probably won't reach me or be too bad if it does!

I can't even tell what is going on. It's "gang violence", but I can't tell who it is by or who it is directed against. Lower class against middle class? Black against white? Ethnic (of some sort) against another ethnicity? Muslim? Some sort of weird English violence? They are so PC in the article I can't tell what is going on.

It's just people looting and setting things on fire. A man was shot by police in totenham on saturday and its being investigated so there was a peaceful protest which turned into a riot. Then another elsewhere and it spread, most of the kids probably don't even know what happened on Saturday

Yeah, I can't quite believe it either. It all seems so unexpected.

My cousin lives in London, but she's somewhere near Wimbledon so I hope it won't reach her.

I haven't heard anything about near there. My local town centre (about a twenty min walk) has had shop fronts smashed and restaurants broken into apparently though I'm staying put so I can't say for sure....
