I MISS LJ! *sigh* This time last year I was writing fic. Tonight at ten to one in the morning I've just finished 10,000 words of 2 really roughly written essays and will spend my weekend (this time last year devoted to catching up on my flist) reading and rewriting them... Remind me again why I chose this?? £150 in my bank account, no job prospects and a Masters I'm not sure what I'm going to do with yet... nothing ever changes!
I have been reading all my flist, even if there's been a distinct lack of participation. I also became addicted to Sherlock/Lestrade fic (from the BBC tv show) but then noticed my mum's cousin is uncannily similar looking to Rupert Graves who plays Lestrade. Which stopped me for about two days and now I'm back to reading again :)
Now I am going to celebrate the completion of my draft essays by trawling my flist for recs and then SLEEPING! YAY!
...
This time next year I plan to have my dream job and be back to lj participation, this is my life aim. Support me.

I keep convincing myself its worth it :) and it is...I'm sure it will be... If nothing else its helped me decide what kind of job I want, whether I'll ever get there who knows, but at least I have a vague sort of aim in life lol. Considering I decided to go back to uni within the space of 2 days I think thats okay!

But yeah, I hear you on the having a vague aim in life. I never had one until my undergrad supervisor said "hey, stay! do a masters!" and it all spiralled from there. I've never had life goals before haha, it's quite soothing, even amid all the panic.

Yay for life aims and their vague sense of reassurance :)
