Help UK Flist??

UK dwellers! where is the nicest place you've ever been in the UK?  Could be in terms of scenery, or architecture or anything.  Where have you thought, wow I'd want to live here, or do you already live there? :)

I'm getting itchy feet, and seeing as I plan to learn to drive whilst I'm at Uni next year I'm free to move out of my little London bubble (not that I don't love London, and I'm sure I'll end up moving back at some point if I move away but I'd like to experience somewhere else).  Suggestions??

Obviously I'll need to find work and somewhere to live etc., but at the moment I have absolutely no idea where to start, so throw some ideas my way!!


(Whilst I'm here, any Facebook Users who wouldn't mind giving up 5 minutes to do this questionnaire would have my and my Masters studying friend's eternal grattiude)

I'm a huge fan of the Christchurch-Boscome-Bournemouth-Poole area of Dorset. We've stayed in Boscome many times and it's beautiful, there's a Chine and beaches, and it's not that long a walk into Bournemouth, plus there's awesome scenery round the isle of Purbeck and Durdle Door and all that. Obviously, I'm coming from a holidaying perspective and not a living perspective, but it's definitely the area of the country I'd like to move to if I could.
