All I seem to be posting at the moment is bad news in terms of fandom, but there you go.

Season Five to be Atlantis' last

I just don't think I'm going to be able to watch Stargate Universe without resenting it, because if it wasn't for that we'd likely be getting another season or two of Atlantis.
Another thing about this, I hate that they do it once all the season is plotted out already.  It gives the writers no chance to tie off lose ends, just like with SG1.  It made the Ark of Truth feel like an after thought, something that had to do to tie everything off before they could move on.  Any Atlantis movie is just going to feel the same to me.

There' a petition here to those interested

THE LAST OF A REALLY, REALLY GOOD THING!

Thanks for the heads up in regards to the petition. Yes, I signed it.

This is not a good thing. Some shows have been on for years and no one, that I know, ever watches them. I think in this case...MONEY TALKS. If I had the funds, I would pay to keep this show on the air, just for me; for at least 10 years (LOL). Wouldn't that be awesome.

They have never given them the chance to explore Sheppard's relationship to Atlantis. What's that all about? Haven't had a chance to see Ronon without his dreads; haven't had a chance to see Torren J throw food on his dad/mom; haven't had a chance to see Rodney get his Nobel Peace Prize; haven't had a chance to see Carson get back into the groove and save some poor schmuck on some poor planet, again; haven't had a chance...aw the list just goes on. If they had just let it be it would have matured and I ADMIT that I was wrong about Woolsey! I ought to get points for that!

Maybe its not TPTB, but the crew. Maybe they want to move on? Hmmmm?

IDEA!!!!!! Since they are going to can it, why don't they use some of the fan fiction stories as a last season. That would put some life back into these bones they have been tossin' us. They would have the best season ever! Okay, pass me my meds I think I need to lie down now.

I admit there was a time after the first season four episodes where I would have welcomed the cancellation for what they did to Weir and Beckett but it was just getting back on track again.

Why do they always can the awesome shows? *cough*enterprise*cough*

True true :(

It always makes sense to TPTB, especially if they're the ones responsible for a shows demise...again I use enterprise as an example. B&B must have been smoking something when they wrote the final episode but thats another story on a different show :P

Yes always shooting something down when its in its prime yet shit shows and reality tv and so on go on for years. Surely that's gotta be a crime!!!
