So, random observations after watching the first disk of my lantis DVD's :)
1) Reunion - When Sam goes to visit Ronon and he's packing, he chucks aside the pillows on his bed to retrieve his gun, which was hidden under them *g*
2) Doppleganger - I know it was obvious at the time, but with a re-watch, John's fear really is that Rodney dies, ok so I guess it could be that one of the team died and (he thought) it was his fault, but I can't imagine him giving the same reaction (the walking forlornly down the corridor scene) if Teyla or Ronon died. I'm trying to think back, have there been any episodes where he thinks one of them has died??
3) Finally, and most importantly, the glass at the top of the steps in the gateroom that blasts Weir in First Strike. How did they replace it? Is there a room of Atlantis with spare parts? A machine that makes it? Did they get the glasiers in and have it custom made??

Doppelganger - I don't think there has been an episode where John grieves for anyone but McKay. That would be an interesting way to go...I'd like to see that my self. I read a fic where John is blown through the gate and slides across the floor. He remember seeing his team die; it was great. Please, don't ask me the name of it.
Finally - I thought about that glass in the gateroom too. How they replaced it, how they clean it (you know bird poop, etc), and why they don't crack the windows up there to make a cross-current of air in the gate room.
I have also thought about: Who does the cleaning when they get blood all over the floor? Where are the birds? Why they don't have children there? Or pets? A holo-deck like in Star Trek? Why they have people sleeping on gurneys instead of beds in the infirmary? Why no one has given John a bed long enough for his feet? Where are the bathrooms? And why they usually eat sandwiches and bottled water in the city? With all the space they have, why there are no basketball courts, football fields, volleyball courts, or soccer fields? These are just a few of the things that have come to mind.

Doppelganger - We saw him grieve for his dad a little i guess, but its not the same is it?? coz that's completely different. And Elizabeth too, but they were both in like situations where he didnt really have the time to stop and think about it. They made a point of showing us his reaction to Rodneys death, even if for a little while
There are so many questions! I also wonder who cleans up the blood, how do you get a job as a cleaner in Atlantis? Do they head hunt the worlds best cleaners along with scientists??
In regards to John's bed, it is kinda small, but i think it looks smaller coz of his boots, those things are frickin massive. When I once had to wear army boots they made my feet even more massive and clown looking than normal :(
Bottled water and sandwiches? Practicality? Less perishable??
Those are the only answers i have. And there should totally be a lantis volleyball tournaments :)
