I always find it interesting the way fandoms overlap. Like Merlin and SGA have a similar fandom feeling to me, like the kind of fic you get (lots of canon and non canon AUs) and the relationship of the main pairing (snarky-ness). But there isn't as much overlap as I would have thought. Whereas a lot of Hawaii Five-0 fans I've come across are into Harry Potter.... it makes no sense to me...
I read a Pirates of the Caribbean fic the other day (my first) and now I'm itching to hunt down more...must resist... It's easier if the first fic you read in fandom is awful, then its more difficult to be sucked in!
