SGA Casting Season 5
Link to spoilery season five SGA casting here
So I think it's fairly common knowledge now that Amanda Tapping wasnt staying on as a regular for the 5th, which to begin with i was happy about. But I've just settled in to seeing her every week, and next week we've seemingly got an episode with her playing a central role, so I'm feeling a bit more ambigious about the whole thing.
But Woolsey??? Seriously? How is that going to work. He's basically pretty two dimensional, i mean sure occasionally if you tilt your head at the right angle he has depth. But still, a regular? And really, don't you think he'd be a bit lost with the whole leadership thing?? He always seems hesitant to voice his opinion (admittedly he does anyway, but the initial hesitance means everyone usually ignores it) and when he gets power, it seems to go to his head, no?
But on the flip side, they've not let us down yet, and as a guest character I do like Woolsey. Maybe they can make it good. I trust them... sort of. And Robert Picardo does rule, so maybe it'll all be good :)
But to make up for all this they have given us Amanda Tapping for a few episode, but more importantly, Michael Shanks!!! At last! Man obsessed with Ancients, who ascended, finally makes an appearance in the show!!! And even better more Paul McGillion! Five episodes :) *hugs Beckett*
And new reocurring characters are always good, they help to flesh out the universe, so bring on Alison Porter, whoever you are!!!
Conclusion: Not entirely happy. But not too worried.
